One of the easiest ways to meet people in cyberspace is a piece of software called The Palace.
This graphical chat software developed a decade ago, allows you to mingle in our custom-created
environment and socialize via your own personal avatar. Our "Palace", known as The Mothership II
is open 24 hours a day for everyone to hang out, make new friends and share their love of all
things Sci-Fi.
It was the original concept of the Sci-Fi Channel and hosted at http://www.scifi.com/
as The Mothership in October 1996. In December 2000 SciFi.com ceased to host it. By popular
demand it was recreated on a new server. Hammer, Dunk and Vash, all members of the crew on the
original server, hosted the new Mothership, called Mothership II. In more recent years Maurice(c)
has helped out with all things relating to the running of the server and Spex has done the hard
work of engineering the web site and the bboard. TMS2 has all the original features of the two
incarnations of the server while it was hosted by SciFi.com plus some further additions relating
to Sci-Fi in later years.
To mix and mingle you'll have to download The Palace software.
Enjoy yourself on The Mothership II.
